Blue Dragon Consulting offers a broad range of consulting, facilitation, planning and training services and supports to small and medium sized not-for-profit organisations, their managers and leaders and boards of directors. We support non-for-profit organisations in enhancing their efficiency, focusing on their mission and values and strengthening their sustainability.
Women’s Health Clinic (July 2020 – present)
Interim Executive Director
Leading, managing and coordinating the affairs of Women’s Health Clinic (WHC) on an interim basis in accordance with the vision, mission, goals, objectives, policies and procedures and strategic plan set forth by the Board of Directors. This role has entailed providing leadership and supporting the organisation in six key areas, including providing direction, management and planning; administration and finance; human resource management; information systems and risk management, fund development; and public policy, communication and community relations.
WestEnd Commons (June 2020 – September 2020)
Interim Executive Director
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the WestEnd Commons, including providing general leadership to staff and overall administration. This role entailed providing leadership and supporting the organisation in the following areas, including providing leadership, program planning and management; board support; residential tenant support and resource development; residential rental management; community and capacity building; communications, administration and marketing; staff liaison and supervision; and Neighbourhood Resource Centre rental management.

Jubilee Fund – Board Member – April 2018 – Present
Launched in 2000 the Jubilee Fund Inc is an ethical investment fund established to raise awareness concerning the interrelated issues of poverty reduction, financial assets, and access to credit. The Jubilee Fund provides loan guarantees and bridge financing to non-profit Organisations and social enterprises, which are then used for community-based projects that reduce poverty and financial exclusion.
West End Cultural Centre – Board Member – January 2018 – Present
The West End Cultural Centre is a dynamic, not-for-profit community arts Organisation enriching the lives of artists, audiences and the community through the sharing of music and culture. The West End Cultural Centre Board of Directors is a diverse group of community leaders and key decision makers who provide strategic leadership to the organisation.
Herizons Magazine – Board Member and Editorial Committee member – March 1999 – February 2001 and October 2003 – Present
HERIZONS is a quarterly Canadian feminist magazine that delivers the inside scoop on the Canadian women’s movement: health, activism, the environment and legal cases affecting women. Herizons serves up feminist satire and plenty of news at a glance. Canada’s largest feminist magazine is a unique hybrid of non-profit business, feminist publishing and advocacy journalism. Herizons is published in Winnipeg and distributed in every part of Canada. Originally started as a regional newspaper in 1979, HERIZONS has grown into a strong national magazine with a dedicated readership that spans the country and its regions. Collectively the Board is responsible for financial and administrative management of the Magazine.
CKUW 95.9 FM, Winnipeg – Live Radio Producer and Host 1997 – Present
CKUW is the on-campus FM radio station at the University of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada.
For over 22 years, my sister and I have been hosting our radio program Check Ca on CKUW 95.9 FM. We’re just two sisters who love music – of all different sorts. We love to share what we have & always like to hear new stuff. We enjoy researching and exploring the community connections with radio. Radio is such a great medium for learning and sharing and just being able to express yourself! And with community/campus radio you don’t have to worry about pleasing advertisers – it’s listener driven radio. Check Ca, broadcasted every Friday from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
