Blue Dragon Consulting offers a broad range of consulting, facilitation, planning and training services and supports for not-for-profit organisations, their managers and leaders and boards of directors. Supporting not-for-profit organisations in enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness, focusing on their goals and purpose and strengthening their sustainability.

Land Acknowledgement

The land we stand on, the land that we live, work and play on is Treaty 1 Territory. The traditional territory of the Cree, Ojibwa, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples and the homeland of the Metis Nation. Our water is sourced from Shoal Lake, Treaty 3 Territory. We acknowledge and respect the Treaties formed on these territories. We acknowledge that we are all treaty people and as settlers we recognise the rights of the First Nations people and recognise our responsibilities to uphold and respect the treaties. We acknowledge and recognise the history and harms of colonisation on Indigenous peoples and are committed to active accountability, justice, equity, and reconciliation. In our treaties we adopted each other so we must to treat each other as family.

Facilitation – Good facilitation supports strong dialogue and respectful exchange of views which in turn supports good decision-making. We support organisations by offering our facilitation skills, to help guide meetings, discussions, deliberations and planning.

Strategic Planning and Visioning – Defining a strong vision for an organisation or program, having a clear direction for the future and a plan on how to get there is crucial for an organisation to be successful. We support organisations in visioning, planning and realizing their future. Using a variety of tools and techniques, we tailor and design a process to fit each individual organisation.

Board and Leadership Training, Coaching and Support – Supporting boards in understanding their roles and responsibilities and providing good governance to their organisations. Training and supporting not-for-profit leaders in guiding their organisations and programs. We will work with you to design supports that meet the needs or your organisation and team including: board training and development, board and organisation policy development, executive director and manager coaching, and team building.

Project Planning and Community Consultations – Defining objectives, goals and long-term outcomes for a project; gathering input from the community, various stakeholders and partners are essential components in strong a project and organisational planning process. We have extensive experience in designing, facilitating and delivering project and community planning processes. We will work with you and your team to design and deliver an inclusive and effective planning process.
